Classification by Structure
Troughing idlers: Used for conveying bulk materials (such as coal and ore). The trough design increases the bearing area and prevents material spillage.
Parallel idlers: Divided into upper and lower idlers. Upper idlers support piece goods (such as cartons), while lower idlers support the unloaded conveyor belt return.
Self-aligning idlers: Automatically adjust the conveyor belt position through a conical or spiral structure to prevent deviation. Suitable for long-distance or inclined conveyor lines.
Buffer idlers: Installed below the loading point, using rubber rings or elastic materials to absorb material impact force, protecting the conveyor belt and idlers, and extending service life.
Classification by Material
Ceramic idlers: Wear-resistant, high-temperature resistant, and corrosion-resistant, suitable for harsh working conditions (such as high temperature and strong corrosion environments).
Nylon idlers: Self-lubricating, anti-static, impact-resistant, lightweight, and low-noise. The service life is 3-5 times that of metal idlers.
Polymer idlers: Wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and lightweight. Weighing only 1/2 of steel idlers, they can reduce energy consumption by 15%-20%.
Steel idlers: Sturdy structure and low cost, but susceptible to corrosion and require regular maintenance.
